We get several copper(brass) handles orders continuously from abroad countries these months, they have a common character:surface only polished no electroplate. The requirement seems abnormal but it is spreaded by our factory these years economic and very applied technology, it is a pity people interested in country few.

Few people know copper(brass) is the most representative metal with function of sterilization, lots of science experiment showed that copper(brass) has function of controling bacilli, virus and microbe in water (eg:alga) harmful for health, the operation mechanism is : Cu under condition of water become Cu2+ into interior of cell by permeating film of cell, because Cu2+ is heavy metal ion make some enzyme with denaturalization then destroying metabolism to kill microbe. The Japanese scientists through the inspection of bank note and coin(silver, copper coin and nickel) found: silver and copper coin without bacilli basically. This year, the atom function of copper(brass) adopted widely even stock, bedsheet, water pipe machine for cleaning water and filtration paper for air condition made by copper fibre.

Copper(brass) handles can be seen everywhere at present market, eg beautiful chrome handle for tap, bronze or gold color lock handle, but these kind of handles with copper(brass) material without function of sterilization because the surface of copper(brass) handle plated by other material preventing the atom function of copper. Most suppliers take care of passing the delivery beautifully requiring plating gold or chrome naturely, regarding killing bacilli can not be seen by eyes so it is not emphasized.

Actually, only need to be a little more diligent, the copper(brass) handles without electroplating has a good benefit that is more use more new, because the color is copper(brass) nature color, and product made by copper(brass) with electroplate with a period, the surface will have dot and become older and older. Not the copper basin and copper pot used in old times shining at last?

The first choice of the color for DSM’s copper handles is “brass polished”, and price lower. Since Oct last year, price of brass dropped down which is good news for lover of copper(brass), the prices for styles not dare to ask are not expensive now. The styles made by stainless steel only now some people try to make them by copper(brass) with audacity.
